BRAND #1: Simpli Home
Simpli Home, a relatively new player in the furniture industry, has quickly made a name for itself through its dedication to quality craftsmanship, modern designs, and sustainable practices. Their commitment to making stylish furniture accessible is evident in their diverse range of offerings, catering to different tastes and budgets. With a focus on customer satisfaction, they offer free shipping and a 30-day return policy, albeit with some fees. Simpli Home's ambition to become plastic-positive by 2025 and carbon-neutral by 2030 further reinforces their commitment to a sustainable future.
Simpli Home | Brand Summary
Delving into the world of Simpli Home sofas offers a genuinely enlightening experience for any furniture enthusiast, and I am no exception. Having explored numerous brands and styles over the years, the commitment of Simpli Home to quality, customer satisfaction, and detailed craftsmanship stands out. Their products showcase not just functional furniture but pieces that breathe life into any living space, underscoring the brand's dedication to offering something genuinely special. As we unravel what makes Simpli Home a noteworthy contender in the furniture market, it's impossible not to be impressed by their blend of style, comfort, and durability. The brand exudes a distinct vibe that marries traditional craftsmanship with modern aesthetics, appealing to a broad audience. Whether you're searching for a plush sofa to sink into after a long day or a chic sectional that commands attention, Simpli Home ticks all the right boxes, providing an inviting ambiance that any homeowner would covet.
And SPOILER ALERT: I have two Simpli Home couches in my own home and I reviewed them both for Couch.com! Here are some relevant links to check out:
Returns have restocking fees and must be made to showrooms
Limited transparency regarding materials and construction methods
No white-glove delivery for standard shipping
Only one free fabric swatch
Simpli Home offers a wide range of stylish sofas designed to complement various tastes and preferences. Their dedication to quality craftsmanship is evident in the meticulous construction of each piece, and their focus on sustainability shines through their eco-friendly materials and initiatives. While their free shipping and quick turnaround for in-stock items are a plus, the lack of white-glove delivery for standard orders might be a drawback for some. Additionally, the limited return policy, including a restocking fee and the necessity of returning items to showrooms, could pose challenges for customers.
Although Simpli Home could be more transparent about specific construction details and materials, their commitment to sustainability and ethical manufacturing practices is commendable. Their partnership with organizations like Green Worms Waste Management and their tree-planting initiative showcase their dedication to environmental responsibility.
Overall, Simpli Home provides a compelling option for those seeking stylish and well-crafted furniture with a conscience. While some limitations exist, their strengths in design, affordability, and sustainability make them a brand worth considering.
Rove Lab is the experimental, modular-focused sister brand of Rove Concepts. Launched to challenge traditional furniture models, Rove Lab has created a system rooted in SmartFoam engineering, sustainability, and streamlined delivery. With no tools required and vacuum-sealed packaging, their designs are built to ship fast, fit tight spaces, and adapt to evolving homes. Their commitment to innovation, minimalism, and conscious production places them squarely in the conversation with the best new direct-to-consumer furniture brands.
Rove Lab | Brand Summary
Rove Lab is flipping the script on how we think about comfort, modularity, and convenience. From their all-foam builds (no frames!) to a design system that allows you to add or take away pieces to adapt to your living situation, Rove Lab sofas offer a more tech-forward spin on traditional lounging—streamlined, flexible, and thoughtfully engineered.
I’ve tested a lot of modular sofas, but this one feels like it came from a different playbook—one where setup is painless, materials are sustainable, and the vibe is straight-up smart. This Rove Lab furniture review is one you’ll want to read all the way through.
Ships in compact boxes and inflates in seconds with no tools
Free shipping with quick delivery timeline
Clear and well-organized product information
Cons
No white-glove delivery option available for those that are physically unable
Covers are not removable for machine washing
Partial returns not allowed for modular sets
No made-to-order customization options
Sofas sit lower, which may not suit all users
Rove Lab’s M1 modular sofas don’t try to do it all, but they do a lot right. With spill-resistant fabric, SmartFoam support, and setup that’s fast and frustration-free, these pieces are clearly designed for real-life comfort and modern homes.
There are a few things to consider before you buy. You won’t get white-glove delivery, which could be a drawback if you need help with setup. The covers aren’t removable, so if you rely on machine washing, that might be limiting. And while modular layouts are flexible, customization options stop at colors and configurations.
Even so, the upsides are easy to spot. The SmartFoam core feels structured yet comfortable. The build is light but solid. And the ability to rearrange or expand over time makes this a great pick for evolving spaces. Add fast, free shipping and low-waste packaging, and you’ve got a system that works.
Rove Lab may not be the right match for everyone, but for people who want style, speed, and sustainability in one neat package, the M1 collection delivers.
In the ultimate couch battle, Rove Lab takes the crown with its cutting-edge modular design and SmartFoam support, offering unmatched adaptability and comfort. Rove Lab's emphasis on sustainability and practicality sets it apart as the standout choice for those prioritizing innovative, eco-conscious furniture. With its unique selling points and tech-forward solutions, Rove Lab triumphs over Simpli Home in this fierce competition.
