But when you factor in the abundance of imported, lower-quality couches that are actually on display, an 85% feels more appropriate.
And it’s not like people aren’t in the market for a new couch. A recent study by Provoke Insights found that 36% of U.S. consumers plan to buy a sofa or sectional within the next year, with that number climbing even higher among older millennials (44%), Gen Z (42%), and younger millennials (37%)¹.
